Regardless of how much in love you are, just about every couple falls into a predictable, eventually boring, pattern of doing the same things all the time. This is an inevitable thing when you spend so much time with someone, but it can make many couple wonder if there’s something wrong with the relationship.

Most of the time, however, all couples need is a small change in routine to keep things interesting.

“There’s an old saying along the lines of, ‘If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got,’” says Lisa Daily, author of Stop Getting Dumped! “If you can’t stand the thought of another football game, or another weekend of cuddling up to pizza and DVDs, then come up with something else to do.”

1. Ask Yourself How Much Time You Really Have To Committ To Someone Else

How much time for dating do you really have? Ask yourself: If you were in a serious relationship with a great man or woman, how much time would you spend together, going on dates, talking on the phone, cuddling. Add it all up...that’s the amount of time you should devote to searching for someone. Most people just don’t make the time to search for love, but they suddenly find that time when they meet the right person.

With relationships being what they are in this day and age, more men and women are finding themselves falling down on bended knee and praying for, “the good ol’ days.”

You know the days. The ones the “old folks” used to talk about where, “’till death do you part,” meant growing old together, sitting on a porch swing, hand in hand, with a few dozen great-grandchildren running and screaming around your feet. The days where a man had eight sisters, a woman had six brothers, and they all had the same mother and father, who, by the way, still happen to be married “all these years later.”

A recent study says that nearly 40% of Americans feel marriage is obsolete and that only 54% are married, compared to 72% in 1960. This doesn't surprise me at all as I believe the current state of marriage needs to be seriously examined!
