This summer, the Mann Center for the Performing Arts and AEG Presents will host two living legends for two show-stopping performances as both Diana Ross and Aretha Franklin make stops in Philadelphia on their respective tours. Both chart-topping powerhouses will perform hits from their expansive careers as reigning musical icons.

Diana Ross returns to the Mann on Saturday, July 29 during her In the Name of Love Tour. In a remarkable career spanning almost five decades, including her time as the lead singer of The Supremes, Ross has proven herself as one of the most prominent women in popular music history. Her career milestones include induction into The Songwriters Hall of Fame, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, NAACP Entertainer Award, Billboard’s Female Entertainer of the Century Award, the Soul Train Legend Award and International Lifetime Achievement at the World Music Awards.

Grammy Award-winning sensation Aretha Franklin performs her hits live at the Mann on Saturday, August 26. Responsible for hits like “Respect”, “I Say A Little Prayer” “Son Of A Preacher Man” and so many more chart-topping tunes, Franklin is considered the reigning “Queen of Soul.” Her legacy spans six decades and includes honors such as the Presidential Medal Of Freedom,  Grammy Lifetime Achievement and Grammy Living Legend awards, and a number one ranking on Rolling Stone Magazine’s list of “Greatest Singers Of All Time.”
